It's day 9 of the first batch of seedlings, and as you can see, the broccoli is off and running! It came up in only a few days, and in some of the trays on the right and in the extreme foreground, the first leeks are making an appearance.At the far end, the cabbages are just starting to stir. There is no progress on the ground cherries at all yet, but I've read about them being slow to germinate.
In less than two weeks, it should be time for the second batch of seedlings to get started. That round will include tomatoes, herbs, and lettuces.
